eco-Agora is an online marketplace and a forum for people who want to make environmentally and socially responsible product choices.

We started eco-Agora to take action against the current greenwashing trend that keeps frustrating us: 'happy planet'-claims with little or no information. So, we set out to create a sound rating system that would bring transparency to the green-label jungle. We believe that genuinely eco-minded companies deserve our support. Our focus is on the Pacific Northwest, but we understand that sustainability is a global issue.

Our website offers a broad range of products designed with sustainability and social responsibility in mind, and all the necessary information to navigate them: reliable product reviews and transparent ratings, based on extensive research and direct communication with the manufacturers. Additionally, we include news and informative articles on all aspects of sustainable living.

eco-Agora evolved out of our own dissatisfaction with the "greenwashing" trend, i.e. the labeling of products as environmentally friendly that are in fact no more environmental than conventional products. We set out to create a consistent resource for eco-friendly products and information that would not compromise sustainability for a fashion trend or a higher profit rate. eco-Agora is the project of people who identify themselves as environmentalists first and entrepreneurs second.
